Overview
Newby Ventures is led by Hunter Newby, co-founder of Telx and an early force behind carrier-neutral colocation. What started as an identity engagement grew into NV Research, a data platform that makes internet infrastructure legible to people who do not work in networking, and from there into the firm's ongoing marketing and executive branding.
The raw material is PeeringDB, the reference the peering community maintains for itself: exchange points, networks, and facilities, kept current by the people who run them. It is thorough and precise, and written for engineers who already know the territory — while the people who increasingly need it are policymakers and economic development officials deciding where infrastructure should go. All of it had to become visual and navigable without being watered down.
We designed and built the platform end to end, data-API integrations and interactive maps included. A nightly clone of PeeringDB feeds the exchange maps, the "Meet Me In..." city research series, and searchable directories of facilities, peers, and organizations. Alongside the product we run the marketing: publication design for the AI Interconnection book, organic and paid social, email newsletters with lifecycle automation, and the executive branding that establishes Hunter as a voice in the category. Increasingly the engagement runs on custom AI, from a site assistant grounded in Hunter's own writing to an agent-run pipeline that produces and publishes the event marketing under human approval.

The Research Tools
PeeringDB is the record the peering community keeps of the internet's physical layer — exchanges, facilities, networks, and who connects where. It is thorough, current, and written for engineers who already know the territory.
The Newby Ventures Research tools open it up to everyone else, all of them running on the same daily sync.
Regional Dashboards
A local mirror syncs from the public API every day, and custom Python compiles those records into datasets of our own.
From those comes a dashboard for every continental region, every country, and every city in the world with at least one internet exchange, each one breaking down to the state or province below it — totals, rankings and how a place has changed, drawn as maps, charts and sortable tables rather than rows.
Growth Over Time
Each dashboard also plots the region's history — exchanges, facilities and networks tracked across the full span of the record rather than counted once, over one year, five, ten, or the whole thing.
A count on its own is hard to place, so any region can be set against another, or against the world total. That comparison is usually the point: not what a market has, but how fast it is moving relative to everywhere else.
Every Facility on One Map
A single map of every interconnection facility in the record — more than 5,000 of them — searchable and browsable rather than paged through as a list.
One filter narrows it to the facilities that actually host an internet exchange. Any marker opens that facility's own page, so a question about a specific building is a click away from the map rather than a separate lookup.

Long-form research on the physical interconnection points of 21+ North American markets. Each report sets PeeringDB data against local context, which is what makes it usable for someone weighing an economic development decision.
The AI Interconnection Book
A digital-only publication examining where AI physically interconnects around the world, with data that updates daily. With no print edition to design for, we let the cover dissolve into pixels at its base, a nod to a book that only ever lives on screen.
Infrastructure Search
A searchable directory built on the same nightly data, covering exchanges, interconnection facilities, peers, and organizations worldwide.

Hunter has published over 130 articles and spoken at more than 150 industry conferences. We compiled the full body of work into a filterable timeline on the site, turning a scattered track record into something a visitor can actually browse.

Templated email and lifecycle automation keep the audience warm between publications: a monthly interconnection-data roundup and research announcements that pull subscribers back to the tools.
Promoting the Circuit
Hunter speaks regularly on the data-center and interconnection circuit. Each appearance gets a social push on a branded template that absorbs the event's own branding while keeping Newby Ventures in front.
AI in Production
An Agent-Run Production Pipeline
Every appearance needs a web page, a promotional graphic, social posts, and follow-up. We built an agent-run pipeline that produces all of it from a four-line brief: event, dates, panel title, panelists. It composes the graphic against a fixed template, publishes to the CMS through a custom API, drafts and posts to LinkedIn and X, and files the follow-up tasks in the client dashboard.
Deciding What the Automation Cannot Do
The hard part was never the automation, it was drawing the line around it. Review runs in two tiers: geometry, character counts, string integrity, and link status are deterministic and stay in Python, while composition, legibility, and factual accuracy go to the model. Both resolve to one verdict, neither can approve on its own, and nothing publishes without a person signing off. The pipeline carries the repetitive production so the team's attention goes where it counts.

A custom conversational assistant trained only on Hunter's material: his articles, the AI Interconnection book, and the PeeringDB-driven research pages. Visitors can ask about the book, the tools, or the industry and get answers drawn from his work rather than the open web.
